ABOUT ABOUT

This event has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.  Please view the other Jet events!

On the first Wednesday of the month Jet's Thursday night bartender, Ben, hosts casual, wine-loving beginner level tastings which offer fun and education.  Each event has about 10 to 15 guests in the downstairs lounge at Jet Wine Bar, where we all collectively delve into basic wine topics.  Join us to drink wine and discuss what we are all enjoying!

Our next topic is "Grapeography".

Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Syrah oh my! There are hundreds of grapes used to make wine. What happens when the same grape is grown and made into wine but in different places? How does the location of the vineyard affect the taste of wine? In this casual, informal setting we will discuss the basics of "terroir" or the natural environment in which the wine is made and how the environment affects wine. Come join us in tasting and discussing the differences and similarities of a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from both California and France.
