You asked for it (well, technically Susan did) and here it is! Our first tasting of 2018 is all about German wine. Wondering what is the difference between Qualitats and Pradikats? Kabinet and Spatlese? Spatlese and Trocken? We can help!
You know Count Johann IV of Katzenelnbogen, right? Well German wines have a looong history, with Riesling in the Count's records from the 15th century. Maritime trade - led by the Hanseatic League - helped create and fill the international market for German wine that remains strong to this day.
We'll sample wines from the Mosel, Nahe, Pfaltz, and Rheingau. And, since we simply couldn't limit the choices to just five, this is our first-ever 6-wine tasting
We'll be pouring:

- J.H. Selbach, Riesling Bernkasteler Kurfürstlay
- Schlossgut Diel, Riesling Feinherb Von der Nahe (2016)
- Kruger-Rumpf Munsterer Pittersberg, Riesling Spatlese (2006)
- Darting, Pinot Meunier (2014)

This tasting will be led by Jill Weber, Jet's owner and our Wining Archaeologist. Let her guide you through 5 wines and their unique histories. This is a new year, so we have a new tasting series: Time-Traveler Tastings!
