"Exotic" Grapes of Italy...
What makes a grape exotic? Well, it is one that is not well-known, widely distributed, or easy to get.
Have you ever had a wine made from Verdeca? What about Nuragus? Uva di Troia, Magliocco, or Mantonico? Chances are that you have not. But, you can change that by coming to our next tasting where the focus will be on those very grapes - all from Southern Italy and Sardegna.
This is part 1 in a series of 3 tastings that will focus on exotic and unusual grapes. All are part of our Global Vineyard Passport Series where, every third Tuesday, Bob Barrett, Certified Specialist of Wine, shares his knowledge with a guided tasting of five different wines. He will introduce these "exotic" grapes that most of us will be tasting for the first time!
