ABOUT ABOUT

Tasting Wines of Greece

Terroir formed by the dust of the ages, mythological creatures, pristine, blue waters...

Where am I?  Greece:  where the 9 muses mingle with the legacy of Hercules, Jason led the Argonauts on a journey for the Golden Fleece, and Helen's face launched 1000 ships.

It is also a land with a great history of wine and winemaking.  In this tasting, we'll explore a bit of this ancient past through modern Greek wines.

We'll taste

  • Domaine Vassiliou Retsina of Attica
  • Domaine Karavitakis Little Prince White 2013, Chania, Crete
  • Domaine Thymiopoulos "Boarding Pass" Malagouzia 2013, Central Greece
  • Chateau Mercouri Lampadias Rose 2013, Ilia, Peleponese
  • Gentilini Winery "Eclipse" Mavrodaphne 2012, Cephalonia

This tasting is part of our Global Vineyard Passport Series where, every third Tuesday, Bob Barrett, Certified Specialist of Wine, shares his knowledge with a guided tasting of five different wines.

Your $25 ticket entitles you to our 5-wine tasting plus light snacks, as well as 15% off your evening's bar tab.
