ABOUT ABOUT

Tasting Wines from Italy's Piedmont Region

Piemonte - in Italy's far Northwest - is home to, among many things, the Slow Foods movement, gandiuotto, truffles, and bagna cauda.  To accompany its culinary wealth, locals drink a diverse range of wines produced from Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Arneis, etc.

Why should you drink them?  The Piedmont is considered to be among the world's best wine regions, with contrasting climatic influence from the Alps and the Mediterranean creating strong diurnal differences.  The result are characterful, flavorful wines with great varietal expression.

In this tasting, we'll drink one white- and four red- wines from 5 different appellations inside the region.  How diverse are they?  Come explore and learn!

We'll taste:

  • Ceretto, Blange Langhe Arneis DOC
  • Castello di Neive, Grignolino Piemonte DOC
  • Monchiero Carbone, Langhe Nebbiolo DOC
  • Cortese, Dolcetto d'Alba DOC
  • Villa Remotti, Barbera d'Asti DOCG

This tasting is part of our Global Vineyard Passport Series where, every third Tuesday, Bob Barrett, Certified Specialist of Wine, shares his knowledge with a guided tasting of five different wines.

Your $25 ticket entitles you to our 5-wine tasting plus light snacks, as well as 15% off your evening's bar tab.
