Time for Tempranillo!
Join us to explore Tempranillo, just in time for "International Tempranillo Day"!
And "international" it is. While Spain (and Rioja) are Tempranillo's noted home, the grape is now global. Early-ripening Tempranillo likes warm days and cool nights, poor soils, and "just right" amounts of sun and water. Wherever those conditions are met, Tempranillo can be found.
We'll taste a few examples from the grape's Spanish abode, then venture to Oregon and Argentina to some New World terroir. We'll taste:

- Bodegas Larchago Tempranillo Rioja Crianza, Spain 2010
- Castellroig Negre Vi de Terrer Tempranillo Penedes, Spain 2013
- Abacela Tempranillo Umpqua Valley, Oregon 2009
- Familia Zuccardi Q Tempranillo Mendoza, Argentina 2010
