Join us to explore great wine to end Black History Month!
We'll celebrate the wines of pioneering black winemakers and producers from the United States and South Africa. We'll taste wines from André Mack, who left a successful career in finance and gained fame as a sommelier and, now, winemaker. Have you heard of Ntsiki Biyela? She was the first black woman winemaker in South Africa - we'll taste her chardonnay. We'll taste wine from a premier Zinfandel producer in Napa, and one from the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association 2018 Winery of the Year.
Join Jet's owner and Wining Archaeologist, Jill, to taste these great wines:
- Maison Noir Wines, Knock On Wood Chardonnay Willamette Valley (2014)
- Aslina Chardonnay Stellenbosch (2017)
- Maison Noir Wines, Other People's Pinot Noir Willamette Valley (2017)
- Longevity Wines Inc, Cabernet Sauvignon California
- Brown Estate Chaos Theory Red Blend Napa Valley (2014)
Our tastings will transport you to a different place and time as we delve into the history of the wine, the region, and the people who make it. Each class features 5 wines that we taste while discovering the fun facts and peculiar histories of each wine’s locale.
BONUS: A limited quantity of these bottles will be available for sale to-go!
Your ticket entitles you to our 5-wine tasting plus light snacks, as well as 15% off your evening's bar tab AND special pricing on bottles of the evening's wines (for to-go sales). Seating is limited.
